Hi, I’m Meg. After five years studying film production, digital design and art direction, I have found my real passion lies in design and craft. I love using woodworking, prop-making, and set building to bring stories and ideas to life. My hands on experience creating film sets and props, combined with digital skills, has shaped my creative path and brought me to this point. I’m really excited to focus on making meaningful, tangible work that connects imagination with reality.

Writer / Director
The first film I wrote and directed in a semi-professional environment. Created during my first term at Ghetto Film School, it was an exciting opportunity to develop my script writing skills while also directing for the first time. The experience definitely challenged me, but also gave me invaluable insights and techniques that I use on all projects.
Writer / Director
The second film I wrote, directed, and edited at Ghetto Film School. Produced whilst on a residential week at the National Film and Television School, it was a great experience, offering the chance to work with industry professionals and see different departments in action.
Writer / Art Director
I wrote this based on a brief from LSA to produce a 5–6 minute short with surrealist elements in the narrative, visuals, and sound. My primary roles were writer and art director but, with a small crew and no dedicated art department, I also handled costume design, giving me another fresh perspective on the filmmaking process. The highlight of the project was crafting the Krampus mask, a time consuming but incredibly rewarding process. I’d love to take on a similar creative challenge in the future.
For this project, I designed two A3 posters and a projectable piece advocating for intersectional feminism, highlighting the need for inclusivity beyond young, cis-het, white, middle-class women. Working in Photoshop allowed me to experiment freely and bring my vision to life. I faced challenges with certain After Effects effects that impacted rendering quality, but adapting my approach ultimately led to a stronger outcome. This project deepened my understanding of design principles and how to create cohesive visuals. It’s one of my favourites, as it allowed me to use design to support a cause I’m passionate about.
For my final major project at The BRIT School, I created ‘Empower Minds’, a campaign addressing psychology misinformation on social media and its impact on young people’s perceptions of mental health. Using Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and ProCreate, I designed an engaging and visually effective campaign, incorporating papier-mâché for a unique, personal touch. Balancing this project with other commitments, (including directing a short film at NFTS with Ghetto Film School) was challenging, but I successfully completed it and earned a distinction.
